A Global Opportunity
HeathCo is a worldwide manufacturer of electronic controls and notification solutions for consumers, contractors and building managers. Their products deliver convenience, security, and resource savings for customers. When HeathCo contacted OST, it was to add globalization capabilities to an existing iOS and Android application—a utility for their line of motion security lights available through Home Depot. And it needed to happen soon.

One World, One Code Base
The challenge was that HeathCo’s application needed language compatibility in English, Spanish, French, and simplified Chinese to benefit all their customers. OST partnered with them to quickly provide that compatibility, but took it one step further—rewriting the program application to one straightforward code base. The app’s cross-platform design also allows users to adjust several product settings, as well as simply turn lights on and off.
Beginning To See The Light
After working with OST, HeathCo’s new cross-platform application allowed them to reach all of their customers in a convenient way—with no language barriers, and only one code base needed to support the system. The added globalization of their app has also created a broader market that’s more responsive to the changing needs of consumers—wherever they call home.
