Introducing Ethan Dunnum, one of our application developer interns for the summer. Ethan just finished his freshman year at Michigan State with a major in computer science and a double minor in IT and entrepreneurship.
Ethan shared, “The unique thing about the internship is that I’m doing real client work that has a direct impact on the product that we create. I actually get to be in meetings with clients, and get to implement features based on their feedback.”
We asked Ethan, “When was the last time you felt most creative?”
“I have the opportunity to be creative every day. A lot of people don’t think that programming takes creativity but programming is a wonderful example of the combination of engineering and creativity. When a client gives you a problem there’s a million different ways you can solve it. Every software developer has a unique way to solve a problem and working together teaches you a lot about how someone else thinks through a problem.”
