Baan Archiving Workshop 2012

Baan customer feedback has been excellent on our two-day Baan class entitled, “Dave Gerrity’s Baan Archiving Workshop”. This class is intended for companies running Baan who are interested in hands-on Baan archiving training. View a class outline.

Dave Gerrity, an OST Senior Baan Consultant who has implemented archiving at dozens of Baan locations with varying versions, has taught this workshop in multiple cities across the U.S. and at multiple customer sites over the past few years with awesome reviews. Dave is recognized as an expert in the area of Baan archiving and has presented on the topic of archiving at the Baan World Users fall workshop and many regional Baan users’ groups.

The classroom is set up with wireless internet connections so you can access your company’s Baan test server remotely and apply what you are learning throughout the duration of the class. Dave will work with you to determine which sessions will gain the biggest benefit from archiving in your environment.  In addition, Dave will educate you on how to work through obstacles such as customizations and data corruption.

The goal of the class is for each student to accomplish the following:

  • Develop a personalized plan for archiving based on each individual company’s distribution of data
  • Set-up an archive company (or companies in a multi-site environment)
  • Identify and develop a plan for addressing data corruption and customizations
  • Successfully run critical archiving sessions in your test environment

Students are required to bring a laptop computer to class that can communicate with their Baan test server.
